Harvard Business School Professor Rebecca Henderson spoke with Video4Good during the 2012 Strategies for a New Economy Conference, put on by the New Economics Institute.

In this interview, she tells of efforts being made to shift the way MBA students think about themselves and about their connection to the environment, and to reawaken a sense of social mission for business.  As Henderson puts it, “business well-run is an enormous instrument for human good and a major source of prosperity and freedom.”

She also feels it is important that students recognize business as part of the solution; that it is necessary to “play a partnership role with civil society and with government so that we build an economy that is in balance with the social and natural worlds.”
