Companies and investors are just “throwing up their hands,” Mark Tulay of Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR) told Video4Good at this year’s Ceres Conference. He was referring to the conflicts among the flood of corporate sustainability ratings, rankings, and indices.

In an effort to end the confusion, GISR is developing an accreditation system and Tulay discussed the system’s 12 Core Principles with V4G. A central goal, Tulay says, is to find agreement on the metrics “that really matter to move the needle.”
